WYOMING, Mich. (WZZM)- Construction crews in Wyoming are raising the roof off of the old Seimens Dematic factory, from 15 feet to 32 feet, as part of renovations. Undercar, which makes plastic auto parts, plans to take over the space and expand, bringing more jobs to the area. "The end result of the city cooperating here is going to be 200 jobs, good paying manufacturing jobs staying in West Michigan and getting a functionally obsolete building back into use," said Don Shoemaker with Franklin Partners. Broker Duke Suwyn with Colliers International said, "This is an exciting one. It's a building you look and wonder what's going to happen to it. It's been through one life or two lives already and now we're seeing it here being reborn. It'll be, I believe, one of the finest manufacturing buildings in all of West Michigan when it's said and done." This is the first time crews have lifted a roof in West Michigan.
